Connecticut Castle

One of Barbara's more extraordinary designs, the Connecticut Castle, was the last play structure to be built entirely on site. It took 3 months for Barbara and brother, James, to build the Connecticut Castle. As seen here, the castle was finished after the winter snow storms moved in. Today, all of Barbara's play structures are built modularly in her shop in South San Francisco. However, Barbara often misses the fun of going to a different part of the country to hand- build a masterpiece on site!
