As soon as Oblique House is "dropped" into position, the kids arrive! They love the play features, like the hand-woven rope net ladder.

Next, Barbara selects the colors for the Dreams playhouse, creating several different "color maps" than choosing the one she loves best.

Rudi applies the colors as the modular pieces come over from building. Once a piece is finished, it is moved out to our dock to dry in the sun. Rudi is always seen wearing head phones - his favorite radio station to listen to while staining: KQED

Playhouses like Gingerbread (see also the original Cape Codder) fit nicely onto large (or small) patios in city or country. Lace White details on shutters and doors tie in well with the white stucco retaining walls. The Champagne walls pick up the sandy hue of the pavers.

Inside Gingerbread Playhouse glows with Blush Pink walls, accented by pale pink furnishings. The custom Slate Grey for the floor is practical while reflecting a pink tinge from the walls.

The color palette of Gingerbread Playhouse was custom designed for the client. Blush Pink frosting on a buttery pale Champagne cake. The Roof Shingles are stained in Slate and match the bottom trim piece and the interior floor.

Gingerbread Playhouse has been built and assembled in Barbara's shop, ready for staining and detailing with hardware.

Country Cottage is an adorable playhouse with attached front deck, all hand-carved in a floral theme.

Country Cottage’s fully carved walls are custom designed, then carved and stained by hand using our signature non-toxic tung oil stains.

The carvings beautifully frame the arched window with matching curved top shutters which kids can open and close to their heart’s content. To prevent pinched fingers, there is a 1/2” gap between all components.

This whimsical bird greets the kids each morning.

The interior of the Country Cottage includes a chalkboard with wavy trim and checkerboard stain on the floor. The two-part dutch doors come complete with a sliding “who-goes-there” peephole.

Country Cottage is the perfect fairy tale playhouse for any yard.

The artist sketch gives families a sense of what the finished structure will look like.

The Cape Codder is a compact playhouse packed with fun cottage features. The two-story design allows room for a balcony while still maintaining the small footprint.

For extra play action, the Cape Codder can be customized with a super slide off of the balcony and rock climbing holds added to the side to create an optional challenging way up.

This versatile playhouse can be combined with other BBAB structures to create a complete play space. Here, the second-story balcony attaches to a bridge leading to a tower and slide.

With the addition of the tower, this backyard now has two fully-enclosed structures for hours of play. Is it a villain’s lair, a castle’s dungeon, or an enchanted library?

Hidden Treasure is a jumbo play space created by combining a playhouse and a two-story tower. A waterproof gable roof with decorative scallop shingles sits atop 63 square feet of interior space that includes a loft with railing and rung ladder. You can also access the tower from the inside.

Colorful rock climbing holds cover one side of the 5' x 5' tower, providing a challenging way up for the adventurous, and Barbara's hand-woven rope net ladder provides the other way up. Not shown here, but soon to be installed, is the stainless steel firepole which will be added just in front of the safety gate.

The Shipwreck Treehouse perches on a nearby tree, adding even more play options to this bustling backyard. Climb up the ladder for a chance to hang out among the foliage!

The tower is topped with a pyramid roof with decorative scallop shingles and features a rock climbing wall, coil climber and rope net ladder. On the other side, a 12' long super slide offers a quick and fun way down.

With multiple ways up and down, this treehouse is perfect for creating “loops of play” that allow kids to stay in the flow of the game.

Barbara’s color maps show how different color palettes will look on the chosen structure, allowing our clients to fully visualize the project before picking their favorite one.
