Odyssey Installation

Install-1 setting floors.jpg

After fabricating all the components in the shop and procuring the massive log for the bridge, it’s time to install Odyssey on-site. The light-colored lumber is temporary support as we get each part securely fastened.

Here, the team installs giant hex bolts to hold the log bridge securely in place. Safety first!

Testing the ultra-long zip-line is an important part of the installation process. Here, Jeff gives the temporary test zip-line a try.

As we get further into the installation process, there is less of the light-colored, temporary-support lumber and you can see the Odyssey’s hue more clearly. This tung oil color is Black Olive which looks black at a glance, but also has hints of brown and green as the sun hits it just right.
